is the Painting instructor for International Painters and Allied Trades at Loring Job Corps Center. He has worked with Job Corps for over 20 years. He brings 35 years in the construction industry to the classroom, including experience in drywall, interior and exterior paint, sandblasting, wallpaper, and all aspects of finished carpentry. Pierre also has a variety of credentials, including OSHA 500, career and technical education from Ohio State University, National Green Building Standard certification, and Residential Construction Academy training.

Luis Resto

is a CPP instructor and 2006 graduate of Loring Job Corps Center. He believes in giving back to the program by helping new students adjust to center life and helping students through obstacles that he once had to overcome as a student. Luis has held many positions on campus, including residential advisor, recreation specialist and student records assistant. He brings a fresh perspective as a former staff member and Loring Job Corps student to his classroom.

Kevin Cyr - Academics and Life Skills - Loring Job Corps Center

Kevin Cyr

joined Loring Job Corps Center in January 2014 as a Math instructor. For the next five years, he coached and assisted students in helping increase their math skills and earn their high school diploma/high school equivalency credential. In November 2019, he became the high school equivalency/high school diploma coordinator and disability coordinator. Kevin has worked as an advocate for the students with disabilities to give them every opportunity to succeed at Loring Job Corps.

Kathy Coiro

is a full-time Commercial Driver’s License instructor at Loring Job Corps Center. She has nearly 20 years of experience behind the wheel of a variety of commercial vehicles, ranging from school buses to straight trucks and semi-trucks, as well as experience training drivers and working alongside safety departments. Using her extensive experience, Kathy is teaching future generations to be the best CDL drivers possible.

is the CNA Network instructor at Loring Job Corps Center, joining in 2019. He first entered the networking field as a systems administrator for an internet service provider and was active in website development and database-driven web applications. His professional background also includes network installation and troubleshooting as a field technician. Joel enjoys sharing his knowledge while learning new technologies with America’s future networking professionals.

Joe Pinette

is a Carpentry instructor at Loring Job Corps Center. He has served in counseling and management positions within Job Corps for over 25 years. Using his experience in residential construction and bachelor’s degree in education, Joe is helping carpentry students obtain the necessary carpentry training for job placement.

Jim Stepp

Academic instructor with Loring Job Corps Center, has worked in high school and college academia for over 30 years, including college preparation and first-year experience classes, as well as continuing education classes with various senior college programs, high school math, physics, physical science, high school equivalency/high school diploma instruction, and assisting Job Corps students with raising their TABE scores. Jim has several outdoor interests that he is willing to share with his students, including astronomy, genealogy and photography.

Eric Hale

has worked in the electrical field for over 35 years and has held a master electrician license for more than 30 years. He has enjoyed being an Electrical instructor for the Home Builders Institute, showing students the importance of good work ethics and knowledge of the fast-paced, demanding electrical industry.
