Jacquie Newton

has taught the Office Administration training area at Lyndon B. Johnson Job Corps Civilian Conservation Center for nearly a decade. She started at Job Corps as a part-time counselor, then became a full-time Academics instructor, where she taught computer technology and GED writing. Jacquie moved to the office administration department, and this allowed her to continue to encourage students to excel by setting career goals in the office administration field.

has worked in the food service industry since she was 15 years old. Angela graduated from Southwestern Community College with associate degrees in culinary arts and business administration. After finishing her education, she continued her career as a Culinary Arts instructor at Lyndon B. Johnson Job Corps Civilian Conservation Center. Angela has always had a love for food and the art behind it. 

Matthew Sexton - Welding - Pine Knot Job Corps Civilian Conservation Center

Matthew Sexton

, Welding instructor at Pine Knot Job Corps Civilian Conservation Center, brings a 20-year career in welding to the classroom. He earned a combination welding degree from Tennessee College of Applied Technologies and gained experience through various welding jobs, including building nuclear waste containers for several years. Matthew always strives to help students and provide them with the resources needed for success.

Adam Woodward - Carpentry - Pine Knot Job Corps Civilian Conservation Center

Adam Woodward

is the Carpentry instructor at the Pine Knot Job Corps Civilian Conservation Center and has been a United Brotherhood carpenter for over a decade. Adam’s area of proficiency is interior systems, from commercial metal studs to drywall, to layout, to ceilings. He also has experience in scaffolding and general trade work. Adam enjoys helping students develop skills needed to become carpenters.

Coral Abner - Academics and Life Skills - Pine Knot Job Corps Civilian Conservation Center

Coral Abner

works as a lead social services assistant at Pine Knot Job Corps Civilian Conservation Center. She enjoys working with students during their leisure time to teach them valuable social and interpersonal skills that will help them be successful throughout their careers. When she isn’t working, Coral helps with the Student Government Association in planning and coordinating special events and trips for the student body.

Anthony G. Hutson - Academics and Life Skills - Pine Knot Job Corps Civilian Conservation Center

Anthony G. Hutson

is a U.S. Army veteran with over 20 years of experience working with Pine Knot Job Corps Civilian Conservation Center. Each day, Anthony helps students develop social and interpersonal skills as they complete their training.  As recreation specialist supervisor, Anthony mentors students and incorporates various social and physical fitness activities into their daily routines to enhance their overall well-being as adults.
